    How to rotate a PDF

    1. Open your PDF

Drop it on the page and see all pages as thumbnails.

    2. Rotate

Use ↺ or ↻ on a single page, or select several pages (or none, for the whole file) and click Left or Right.

    3. Download

The rotation is saved in the file: it will open correctly in any reader, on any device.

Rotate permanently, not just on screen

The rotate button of most PDF readers only turns the view. Close the file, send it, and it is sideways again. pdfanonym writes the rotation into the PDF itself, so every reader displays the pages the right way.

    Rotate only some pages

Mixed portrait and landscape documents are common: a report with one wide table, a scan where a single sheet went in the wrong way. Rotate those pages individually with the arrows on their thumbnails and leave the others alone.

    No quality loss

Rotation is a page setting, not an image transformation. Text stays text, nothing is recompressed, and the file size barely changes.

    Questions people ask

How do I rotate all pages at once?

Make sure no page is selected, then click Left or Right: the rotation applies to the whole document.

    Is the rotation saved?

Yes. It is written into the downloaded PDF, so it opens the right way in every reader.

    Can I rotate by 180°?

    Click the same arrow twice.

    Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Only the page orientation setting changes; text and images are not re-encoded.
